Whistle Stop Antiques operating out of a garage sized building several nights a week in Harrison Township, Michigan, dealing mainly in used Lionel trains. The following year, the move was made to a small retail storefront in St. Clair Shores where it became
Whistle Stop Hobbies & Trains.
The construction of our current store:Thru the years the inventory expanded until in 1984 a new 5,000 square foot store was built on Harper Avenue just four blocks from the original store.
The Whistle Stop expansion: In 1996 the property behind Whistle Stop became available and was purchased by the Claggetts’ which allowed them to expand the store from 5,000 square foot to 10,000 square foot and add a 2,000 square foot basement with more parking. This addition was completed in early 1998.
Whistle Stop today: We are a full service hobby & toy retail store with web sales around the world. Our goal is to offer quality products at competitive prices to our valued customers with fast and reliable service.
