Tamiya Toyota Celica Turbo Gr.5 1/20 Model Kit. This model kit faithfully reproduces the Toyota Celica LB Turbo Gr. 5 (originally offered as Item 20009 in 1978, now without motorization). It comes with Cartograf decals, fresh slick tires, and an instruction manual. The Toyota Celica LB Turbo, designed for the 1977 DRM (German Racing Championship), originated from the Celica Liftback road car. Featuring aerodynamic enhancements like bulging over fenders and a rear wing, it incorporated numerous FRP body panels. Its racing configuration included an extensively modified body and a potent 2,090cc, 560hp inline-4 DOHC turbo engine. Debuting in July 1977, it achieved its first victory in October of the same year by surpassing the Porsche 935.
